School in NSW will start back Wednesday 29 April with a continuation of Learning from Home. This means if you can manage having your child/children engaged in learning at home it is recommended that you continue to do so. However, school remains open for students that need to attend every day with supervision of their Learning from Home the same as at the end of Term 1.
As of Monday 11 May week 3 schools will begin to have students back in classrooms for a portion of the school week for face to face teaching and support. Each child will attend school on one day a week gradually building up in days as the term progresses until we have all students attending every day.
To better manage social distancing and personal hygiene approximately 25% of students will be on site Monday to Thursday to start with. This percentage will increase as we receive advice from NSW Health and the Department of Education.
To support families we have worked out who will attend and on what days alphabetically.
Monday 11 May students with surnames starting with the letters A to C
Tuesday 12 May students with surnames starting with the letters D to K
Wednesday 13 May students with surnames starting with the letters L to R
Thursday 14 May students with surnames starting with the letters S to Z
We anticipate this structure will be in place for weeks 3 and 4 of term 2 and then an increase of days will happen in week 5. More information about that organisation will happen as the time gets closer.
When it is not your childs day to attend school learning from home will continue for them supported by the classroom teachers.
In order to maintain social distancing and comply with Public Health guidelines we will be operating two separate pick up times. K-2 students will need to be picked up from the asphalt line up area at 2.45pm each day and 3-6 students at 3pm. We ask for your cooperation in leaving the school site as soon as possible once you have collected your child.
Learning from home hardcopies of work will be available from the Administration office on the same days for each stage as they were in Term 1
Support unit Monday Stage 1 Tuesdays Kindergarten Wednesday Stage 2 Thursday and Stage 3 Friday. Please make sure you do your best to stick to this roster as it helps with controlling the amount of traffic in the Administation office foyer.
