Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

Our P&C is a group of parents, carers and school community members. They assist with school planning, fundraising, events and volunteering. Our P&C works in partnership with our school to promote the interests of our school community.

Joining the P&C a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!

Join our P&C

We’d love for you to be part of our P&C community! To join, simply come along to one of our meetings. There’s a small $2 affiliation fee to become a member. Once you’ve joined, you’ll be added to our P&C WhatsApp group, where we share updates, news, and opportunities to get involved.

You’re always welcome to attend a meeting to see what it’s all about — no commitment required!

What we do as a P&C

The William Stimson Public School P&C plays an active role in supporting our school community. We coordinate and provide a range of services at the school and raise funds that contribute to school facilities, assets, and teaching resources.

Our P&C aims to:
• Provide a voice for parents and the wider community in key school decisions
• Encourage parent and community involvement in supporting student learning outcomes
• Foster communication and positive connections across our school community
• Assist in providing facilities and equipment where additional needs arise
• Celebrate and support the rich multicultural diversity of our school community.

P&C meetings

Our P&C meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, with meeting times alternating between 6:00 pm and 2:00 pm. This schedule helps accommodate the varying commitments within our school community and ensures that more families have the opportunity to be involved.

Our Principal sends out a reminder via ClassDojo to all community members before each meeting, so everyone has the chance to come along and take part.
